San Diego

This weekend I joined the family, minus Curtis (because he had to work) and Cody (who went to Disneyland with his girlfriend and her family) for a little fun in some cooler weather! :) We went to San Diego, California! We left Friday and unfortuantely for me, I had to come home Sunday and my family will come home Tuesday! I had such a great time!! I got to get away for a few days and enjoy some 65-70 degree weather!! What more could you ask for!! :)
Saturday we went to Sea World! The first show we saw was with dolphins! They are so fun to watch! They can jump up to over 12ft high and they can swim as deep as 1,000ft!! They are such amazing creatures! I just love them! In this same show they had some interesting acrobatic jumping and diving and stuff! It kept the show pretty entertaining to say the least! We sat in the soak zone and they are not kidding when they say SOAK ZONE!!! We were head to toe drenched after the show was over! :)
The next show that we saw was the whales!!! :) I love them too!! We learned our lesson with the dolphins, but the poor people that sat in the soak zone at this show were in some serious trouble!! They were SOAKED!! I am pretty sure they could have rung out their clothes!
Saturday night we enjoyed a nice boardwalk dinner and I got to hold my very first parrot!! :)

Right after it got done picking its claw it pecked me right in the head! The guy made a joke that he was checking for bugs but gosh dang it really hurt!!

Anniversary

Yesterday Curtis and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary!! It sure doesn't feel like it has already been 3 years!! We surely have had our ups and downs, as with any other couple! I am just glad that we can work together as a team to stand on common grounds!! Which is not so easy when you have a hot headed, stubborn person like me, mixed with a laid back, go with the flow Curtis! :) But we learn about each other all the time and we make it work!! I am very thankful to have such a wonderful man as my partner! I wouldn't trade him for anything! :)
He brought me home some flowers!! I love roses and I rarely ever get them, which makes getting them all that much better!! He must love me! :) After he got home we went and ate dinner at a place called Carrabas! I love italian food! It was really nice! We were the only couple in the place besides two old men :) and of course all the waitstaff! I felt like I was in a movie! :)
After dinner, Curtis surprised me with a trip to the Apple store to get a new computer! I think he must be tired of me always using his... :) My computer crashed a couple of months ago and I gave up hopes on it and decided not to get it rebuilt. I had planned on buying myself a new one but Curtis beat me to it! It is the one that I have dreamed of getting ever since I was in high school! :) I love Mac's! Very pricey though! All in all, I had the most amazing 3 year anniversary! I can't wait to see what next year will bring!! :))))

4th of July

Okay, so the weekend started out really well! Had a brilliant plan to go up to Prescott! Had the room booked and all!! :) Friday, I spent the day preparing for our trip with doing laundry, cleaning house, and basically making sure everything was clean and done so our arrival home would be easy and stress free!! Saturday morning came and we got ready! I had my cute little sundress on and I was ready to hit the road!! Thennnn...
You guessed it... A clamp busted on the boost hose so we were roadside for about an hour and a half.... This is Curtis and I up on the hill cutting down barbed wire to hold the hose so that we could at least make it back down the hill to get home, yes all this hiking was done in my sundress and I slipped on my cowgirl boots.... Guess how far we were from Prescott...
You guessed it again... There is the turn off!! This was taken after some random guy pulled over and asked if we needed help. All we really needed was another clamp and ta da he had just the one that we were looking for! WOW!! Someone was watching over us! So we fixed everything, said our thanks and we were on our way back to the valley... Come to find out, we were only a mile away from the turn off.. Which was the closest point to turn around.. :(

All in all, it was a nice ride up! But definitely a let down that we could go to Prescott and enjoy the rodeo and our time together. Maybe next time?!?!
